A Beautiful Lockback in Legendary Damascus Steel
Damascus steel combines steels of different properties to produce blades of extraordinary toughness and edge holding ability. Originating in the ancient city of the same name, Damascus steel is a high carbon steel. Viewed under a microscope, the blade displays tiny saw-tooth carbides that are formed when coal fire forged, enabling it to cut even when it feels dull to the touch.
The stunning watermarked appearance is caused by a lamination process, that gives the blade 512 layers of strength. Each blade is as unique as a fingerprint. Size listed below is closed length.
