Tried & True Wood - Blends time tested formulas with modern techniques for a superior finish
Combining varnish making techniques from the 1800's with modern technology and the best natural ingredients, Tried & True produces pure, highly refined, polymerized linseed oil based finishes that are beautiful, durable, and safe. The finishes are solvent and petroleum distallate free, with zero VOC's, and no toxic fumes. The natural drying properties of the finishes eliminate the need for heavy metal driers. Applied with a rag or brush, the finishes become harder and more durable with age. Generally cover more surface area for less cost than competing products. Cover approx. 150 sq. ft./qt. USA
Original Finish - A true general purpose finish. This blend of linseed oil and bee's wax is based on a Shaker finish recipe. Imparts a patina and sheen similar to that of well cared for antiques. Good for reviving antique finishes or as a fine finish for new furniture. Additional coats increase durability, but not gloss.
Varnish Oil - An ideal furniture finish. This blend of linseed oil and natural resin varnish (a modified ester of rosin) is based on a formula used to make the oil for a circa 1850 coachmaker's varnish. Imparts a semigloss sheen. Additional coats build gloss, depth, and durability with each coat. Non-toxic & food safe.
Danish Oil - A superior penetrating oil finish made with pure partially polymerized linseed oil. Imparts a fine satin sheen. Additional coats build protection without increasing sheen. Good for any interior application, especially good for wooden kitchenware, children's furniture, or toys. Completely food safe. USA  Product Details
